It is a hotel that mirrors the actual Biltmore House- the largest private home in America, built by George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895. The only way to get from the airport to The Inn On Biltmore Estate is by car, as public transport does not reach the inn. If you are planning to get a taxi from the airport, the drive will take around 40m and a one-way fare will cost around $55. If you prefer not to depend on the estate’s shuttle bus and would like to rent a car to move around the property, you will find 5 car rental companies located on site at the airport. Avis and Budget are open from 7:00 am until 11:00 pm, while Enterprise, Hertz and National are open a bit later until midnight.
If a 4-star dining experience is not your thing and prefer something more informal, head to the Library Lounge which is located at The Inn On Biltmore Estate for a more informal style of dining. It is open for lunch and snacks from 11:30 am to 4:00 pm, and for dinner from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Its all-day dining menu offers items such as gourmet salads, burgers and sandwiches, with vegetarian and gluten free options available.
If you are visiting The Inn On Biltmore Estate with the kids, you will be glad to know that all restaurants around the estate offer special menus for children and have high chairs available should you need one during your meal. The winery will even offer the kids complimentary grape juice so that they don’t feel left out while you go wine tasting. In addition, kids under 9 years of age are admitted to some of the attractions free of charge all year round, while kids between 9 and 16 get free admissions during summer.
While Biltmore has over 10 shopping options spread around the estate, you will find two of them on site at The Inn On Biltmore Estate. Head to the Cottage Door if you are in need of snacks, basic toiletries and amenities, it is open every day from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. The Marble Lion offers jewellery, apparel and luxury items, and is open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm from Sundays to Thursdays, and until 9:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Several tour options of Biltmore House are available to be booked, starting from the general 90m Guided Biltmore House Tour where you will get to hear stories and information about the house, the 60m Rooftop Tour where you can enjoy amazing views of the property, or the 60m Biltmore House Revealed Tour which will take you through the archives and some unrestored rooms of the house. These tours are all available multiple times per day and cost $25 per person.
