FAQs - booking Togo flights

  • What is the best city on the east coast of the US to depart from if I want to fly to Togo?

If you want to fly from the east coast of the United States to Lomé (LFW) in Togo, you can often find the most affordable flight departing from one of the three major Washington DC airports. Flights from Washington DC to Lomé are often cheaper than flights from New York, Orlando, or Miami.

  • Can I find a non-stop flight from New York City to Togo?

Yes. You can find a non-stop flight on Ethiopian Air that departs from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and lands at Lomé (LFW). You can also find a number of flights with one stop that depart from either JFK or EWR. Some of these stops occur in cities such as Casablanca, Brussels, or Paris.

  • What documentation do I need in order to fly into Togo?

US citizens flying to Togo must present a passport that is valid at the time of entry into the country. This passport must have at least two blank pages. US citizens are also required to have a visa in order to enter Togo.

  • Can I fly non-stop from Atlanta to Togo?

When you book a flight from Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) to Togo (LFW) through KAYAK, it is unlikely that you will find a non-stop flight. However, you can often find cheap flights on Spirit or Frontier paired with Ethiopian Air that have just one stop, usually in New York City. This stop usually requires checking in again or changing airports.

  • Is the Lomé Airport in Togo a good springboard for traveling to nearby West African cities?

Yes. From the Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport (LFW), you can catch flights on airlines such as Air Burkina, ASKY Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, and other airlines that fly to cities in West Africa. For example, on these airlines, you can book flights to cities in Benin, Nigeria, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, and Burkina Faso—all countries close to Togo.

  • Can I find a flight from Los Angeles to Togo with just one stop?

Yes. Air France and Delta both offer flights from LAX to Togo with one stop in Paris (CDG). Alaska Airlines teams with Ethiopian Air to offer a flight from LAX to LFW with just one stop in New York, but this flight requires you to change airports in New York, from the Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) in New Jersey to JFK on Long Island.

Top tips for finding cheap flights to Togo

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Togo flight deals.
  • When you book a flight through KAYAK from the US to Togo, you will most likely land at the Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport (LFW) in Lomé, the capital city of Togo. LFW provides a gateway to exploring Togo, and it is also just a 10-minute drive from Ghana to the west and a 90-minute drive from Benin to the east.
  • When you are looking for the cheapest way to fly to Togo from Los Angeles, consider flying into Accra (ACC) in Ghana. Tickets to Accra are often cheaper than tickets to Lomé. Accra is less than a 4-hour drive from Togo, and since exploring Togo is most convenient by rental car, you can simply rent a car in Accra and drive to Togo.
  • You can find a number of flights from Las Vegas to Togo when you book your ticket through KAYAK. However, a few of these flights require you to change airports at one of the stops on your journey. For instance, one Spirit flight requires changing airports between LaGuardia and JFK in New York and one Frontier flight requires changing airports between Baltimore-Washington and Washington Dulles in Washington DC. Before you book such a ticket, make sure you have the necessary time and money to make such a change.
  • If you would like to explore the forests and West African villages of Mount Agou in northwestern Togo, you should fly into Lomé (LFW) and rent a car to make the 2-hour drive to the mountain. You can either drive to the top of the mountain along a paved road, or hike unpaved roads along coffee and cocoa fields and groves of fruit trees.
  • When booking a flight from Dallas to Togo, you can find a number of flights departing from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). For example, you can find flights aboard Delta, Air France, or the pairing of United and Brussels Airlines. You are unlikely, however, to find any flights departing from Dallas Love Field (DAL) to Togo.
  • From Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD), you can book several different flights that land in Lomé (LFW) in Togo. Brussels Airlines, Ethiopian Air, Royal Air Maroc, and Delta are just a few of the carriers offering flights from ORD to LFW. Frontier, Delta, and Air France offer flights from Midway International Airport (MDW) in Chicago to Lomé, but these flights tend to be more expensive.
  • When booking a flight from Seattle to Togo, consider landing in Ghana or Nigeria instead of in Togo. Tickets from Seattle to Accra (ACC) in Ghana or to Lagos (LOS) in Nigeria are much more affordable than tickets to Lomé (LFW) in Togo.

My only issue was my meal was inedible except for the sides.

Old cabine without flat bed in business for a 12 hour flight is not acceptable

Generally good. The crew is excellent. The food could be better.

They wanted to close counter although they did not provide the wheelchair requested which ended by going alone to transit security and lost long time and they did not want to wait .

Did not find the wheelchair that supposed to assist and went to a long queue for transit security chk which was very slow and boarding desk wanted to close counter although that they knew that I am minutes away because of their mistake of not providing the wheelchair.

Business class in the second leg - CDG-EVN was a disaster.

Everything went smoothly with Air France. There was a delay in departure which seemed to relate to the immigration services being short staffed.

worst experience ever i choose my seat in advance and also have my seat selected in my boarding and the they told me that my seat has been changed without notify me

I have used Air France and KLM many times it will help if they change their menu's feel like it's been the same for years!!!, Especially the breakfast. Overall the flight was good and enjoyable.

No birding was given for next trip on same carrier, food was very moderate.

Well....let's start from the point that I had to stay in airport for 12 hours instead of 2 that was scheduled. Poor company and even worst customer service. Never again....

The flight and boarding were easy peasy. I was traveling with my 4-year-old, so a smooth boarding experience was especially appreciated. My only piece of feedback is really about where our gate was in O'Hare. They've shoved four gates into a tiny corner of the B terminal and there isn't early enough room or seating for everyone. Not United's problem, but did dent the overall experience.

We liked the fully reclinable seats. Had center seats, so it was difficult to talk to spouse. Crew was great

Aisle chair was good and liked the foot bar preventing you from putting your foot in the isle, The breakfast on this international flight to Zurich was horrible (Europeans, specially, used to good food) may make this a dealbreaker for booking with United Airlines again. I agreed with my Spanish fellow passenger.

Dinner was okay but the breakfast was not eatable on the flight San Francisco to Zurich.

There was no screens on board AND the WiFi didn’t work. My seat was broken and couldn’t recline so I couldn’t even sleep. The flight attendants didn’t offer anything to make it more comfortable. It was such an old cramped plane, when the person in front of me reclined I couldn’t even open my tray table. All the United ads talk about guaranteeing everyone gets a screen!

The Wi-Fi was unavailable on this flight for some reason.

The flight was delayed almost 2 hours. Bad customer service etc. I will never fly Luthansa. Ever!!!

On time take off…US cabins look tired and need of refresh!

Fine. Though no food or entertainment so the survey needs to be updated with those options.

It might have nothing to do with the airline but the only problem was the long waiting for baggage claim at Entebbe

My entertainment screen wasn't working and they couldn't fix it.

Seat in front of my wife was broken so it reclined further than normal and without having to push the recline button so my wife had absolutely no room the entire 17 hour flight. My seat was broken and wouldn't recline at all. Also.. my tray table was sticky and dirty right away before I even used it. Also...the floor in the back of the plane from our row of seats on back was totally soaked and both times we landed water came rushing out of the food/servant area like a flood onto the same already wet carpet. It got everything wet that was placed around our feet...including our shoes and socks.

Luggage delayed for one day. I called customer service, and they had no info and no empathy. Boarding was very disorganized and chaotic. We went nearly 7 hours with no food or snacks on the flight. This is not an airline that has respect for its passengers.

it was a nice tripe but they need to work on the serving of soda, they should be abled to serve cain soda not on cup.At least each passenger should be entitled to one cain of soda not serving on cup.thanks.

On my return flight the TV did not work the entire flight! They knew it wasn’t working but they let me sit there. The guy sitting nièce to me told me he was ok the previous flight and it wasn’t working. This is business class by the way!

The entertainment (movies) blockbuster and classics never change. I am a frequent Ethiopian flyer and this should be addressed. Not much changed from my summer flight and my December flight. It is annoying - surely you can update the selections more often. Same with food options. It becomes extremely boring to be offered the same exact meals from Washington to Addis to Maputo every trip, each time. AS

Entertainment was very poor. Couldn’t watch anything. Ear pieces were the wrong type .

Food was horrible. Our flight was not comfortable due to turbulence, seats was not comfortable, Very tight barely can not move anywhere.

The check in staff was amazing. Best customer service! The plane was old! My entertainment on the first flight didn't work at all, in my seat or in the seat next to me. The bathroom doors were old and troublesome. One of the bathrooms, the whole sink panel was broken. Everything felt old and falling apart. The airline stewardesses were amazing and quite hospitable. When there were delays, they kept us well informed. Transit was GREAT! I wasn't sure how I would make it to my next flight in 1 1/2 hours but the security lines were short and efficient. The C gates in Addis Ababa were CROWDED! That whole space downstairs was too crowded and challenging to manuever. I usually fly Ethiopian within Africa and was interested to see how the experience would be intercontinental. Overall, I would choose it again if it was cheaper than Delta/Air France or Lufthansa/KLM. I wouldn't make it a first choice if the prices were the same because the planes are so old! The food and entertainment also weren't as good. Good selection of movies but as I mentioned, on the first flight they didn't work at all (I slept so it was okay) and the 2nd flight it was glitchy. All in all, I didn't hate it but it would be a first choice only if it's cheaper.

Everything was perfect but they need to work on the drink I mean soda, the passengers surpose to be entitled to a can of soda not on cups with the amount of money we paid. They have to work on it.

Nothing was good. It was awful. We boarded the plane and were stationary for 3 hours. They assured us they were in contact with our connecting flight and the plane would wait since 95% of us were going to jfk, but they did not. They took us to Abidjan 3 hours late, knowing that we would all be stuck in a foreign country on New Year’s Eve/ day with no assistance whatsoever. They was little to no communication from them. So many more sad details to add, but I’ll just leave it here - Never would I recommend anyone to use Air Côte d’Ivoire. Absolutely terrible airline. No outlets to charge on their old plane, unfriendly staff, not good food.. I repeat, nothing was good about the flight.

Everything could have been better. One of my luggage didn’t arrive until after two days. The flight was delayed for over 30 mins. No proper communication from airport staff because they didn’t speak English. I regret ever transitioning at Abidjan. It was a terrible experience and will never use Ethiopian Airline also. In flight, water was dripping from the ceiling just above my seat area. It’s my worst flight experience so far. Thank you

3 hours late, came at my final destination without any of my luggage.

The service was terrible. We weren’t allowed to take water on the flight and the drinks were offered only at the end of the meal. When we used the button to call the flight attendants, they never showed up and when my daughter’s drink was spilled due to turbulences, she asked for something to clean her pants at least 4 times and eventually they gave her a tissue. The flight attendants were rude and overall the flight was terrible!

Good but your male staff should be more appreciative of customers. After all you are making a lot of monies from Nigerians.

Delays with no communication. Broken business class seat and no one seems to care or help.

The head of the flight attendants was very rude and impolite and insisted to know my nationality on flight while I had my Can passeport! against all rules!

Adequate. Served our purpose of getting there safely. Nothing to rave about. Decent value for the amount paid

I lost my connection flight from Casablanca to Marrakech because we arrived late to Casablanca. I had to rent a car to continue my trip . I need refunds

Bad service in la RAM from beginning to end. The crew ladies are impolite and rude and insensitive to passengers requests. I do not recommend traveling with Royal Air Maroc (La RAM) - worst service.

when we ask for water or any help nobody care.. they are too arrogant

I thought it was great because the seats were really comfortable for the long flight. The food was just ok, and could have been a bit better.
